Allan Blackett is steadily establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the dynamic field of photography.
Having spent much of his life in Carlisle, with a background involving IT support for schools, he has built upon his strengths in management, design and public relations, to pursue and develop a long-held interest in photography. Perhaps a fusion both of an upbringing surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Lake District and Scottish Borders combined with creation of and flare for design have coincided to bring out the best in Allan's creative capacities in all aspects of his photographic work.
Allan is involved in many forms of photography, ranging from wedding photography, events and model and studio portraiture. As a husband and father of 3 young children, as well as a governor at a local primary school, Allan is only too aware of parental concerns surrounding the photographing of children, and as such, shoots are always carried out in a fun, relaxed manner with parents nearby. The results, whether on canvas, print or photobook hopefully capture a freshness and spontaneity to be treasured for years to come.
Keltic Rose Photography has been professionally involved with wedding photography since 2007 and have undertaken weddings in some beautiful locations, such as Armathwaite Hall Keswick, Crown Hotel Wetheral, Roundthorn Hotel Penrith, Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa on the shores of derwentwater, Carlisle's Tullie House Museum and the Village Hotel Cheadle near Manchester to name but a few.
Keltic Rose Photography has recently moved into studio premises in the Denton Holme area of Carlisle.
Allan is happy to discuss personal requirements and accept bookings in and around Cumbria, Lancashire, the Borders, or further afield if required.
